Condition: Excellent / museum quality with no cracks or wood issues.
Serial Number 4569. Owned and restored by Robert Bigio.
Medium hole - hole 4 is 8.2mm. A great Rudall for playing Irish traditional music. Lively / strong player.
Plays at A440hz with slide out 3/4". Intonation there is relatively very good. Bottom D requires a strong push/lip up to bring up to pitch.
C# plug works fast and seals well. C plug would need further dialing in to seal properly (common issue with antique flutes / pewter foot plugs).
Comes with an original Rudall & Rose flute case (not original to this flute as it went with RR # 5511). The hinge seam of the case is split and currently held closed by a couple of rubber bands.
