When it is cold and the head joint is pushed all the way in, it plays just under A=432, so it suits players working at a lower pitch.

The tone is clear and bright with a nice resonance, the intonation is very good, and the bottom D is relatively strong. It is not the flute for the loudest sessions. The low C-sharp and C keys work well and carry rollers that make gliding between them easy. The low B is there; it asks you to learn how the little finger seals the low C and C-sharp keys above it.

The head joint and barrel have the usual sealed hairline cracks that you usually expect of flutes of this vintage.

"Nach Meyer" is not a maker's name but a model designation, German for "after Meyer."

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2140/2331/files/1Q7A0310_0064a73a-c037-4aee-bced-375cf49e1bcb.jpg?v=1792772230
