Both bodies play wonderfully, and this is an excellent example of Pat O'Riordan's finest work.

The set is one head with two interchangeable bodies. The head is signed Pat O'Riordan and dated 1993, and serial E792 appears on the head and on both bodies. The brass tubing at the top of each body carries a suggested tuning mark.

The D body has a hairline crack beside the socket that follows some of the natural wood grain. It has been sealed and is stable and airtight, and it is hard to see in the photographs; a small trace of it shows in the second-to-last image. Otherwise the set is in excellent condition.

Pat O'Riordan made his whistles in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
