The flute was in good overall condition prior to restoration, with all original sections, keyblocks, and components intact.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe flute has been fully restored by renowned maker and restorer Colin Hamilton. The patent head had a crack from a prior superficial repair — Colin pulled the liner for a proper restoration and did extensive work on the patent mechanism, including remaking some components. All joints have been re-threaded, keys repadded, and the instrument thoroughly cleaned.
