De Keyser European Boxwood and Silver 4-Key flute (Eb/Short-F/G#/C), custom made by Arie De Keyser in 2024. The flute is crafted from 80-year-old Belgian boxwood with large holes.
This is a responsive and active player with excellent tuning across the range. The boxwood body vibrates noticeably in the hands when playing, and the bottom D is particularly strong. Response is immediate and the instrument projects well.
The flute comes with a block for an optional long F key, which can be installed by Arie De Keyser at a later date if desired.
