Lupaca Professional Ebony Quena, G

$24999
Condition: Used - Excellent

A quena in excellent condition, purchased new in 2019 and lightly used by the original owner. The body is turned from ebony, a dense hardwood well suited to a professional-grade instrument, and the flute shows no signs of wear.

The quena is a notched end-blown flute rooted in the Andean tradition. Unlike a fipple instrument, sound is produced by directing the breath across a U-shaped notch cut into the top of the bore. This technique rewards attention and practice, but gives the player direct, expressive control over tone and dynamics in a way that few other flutes match.
