A six-keyed D flute by Hall & Son in cocus wood with nickel silver mounts. The headjoint and barrel have pinned and sealed cracks - stable repairs that do not affect playability. With the tuning slide extended approximately 3/8", the instrument plays at A=440Hz.
The bottom D speaks somewhat flat and requires a gentle approach. There is a missing lower keyway block for the long F as pictured in picture no. 4 (highlighted in red). The key functions well without it. This flute would benefit from additional setup work to optimize the low D response, and a replacement headjoint could further improve overall performance.
Sold as-is, suitable for a player comfortable with minor setup refinements or as a project instrument.
