Paul Haward of Silkstone Whistles is one of our favorite late/great whistle makers. Back when we used to run WhistleAndDrum.com, we used to carry his whistles and in fact, when I'm not playing my personal Galeon aluminum high D, I play a Silkstone high D. Paul could tune a whistle like few else. His whistles are characterized by being clear but not too clear as to be sterile sounding. They have a lovely and subtle bite to their tone and are energetic in their response. Every note is one to enjoy!
