Return / Refund Policy

Do we offer instrument trials?

Yes, in that we have a 1-week return policy that starts the day that you receive your order.

We do this instead of a "try now, pay later" system as the merchant fees with such a system are much higher and we would have to increase our listing prices accordingly.  As most of our customers do not end up returning the items they purchase, we instead pass the savings on to you instead of increasing our prices. 

As you'll see below in our return policy, there is a small restock fee to cover merchant service fees.  This represents approximately the amount we would have to increase our prices if we were to offer a formal try now, pay later system.

Return/Refund Policy: 

Please be advised that orders placed with a credit / debit card will incur a 3% restocking fee (4% if outside the United States).  This is due to all credit card processors no longer refunding their transaction fees to merchants on returns.

Our return policy lasts 7 days from the day you receive your item(s). If 7 days have gone by since you have received your item(s), unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging (if applicable).

The following items are not eligible for return:

Gift Cards
Downloadable Software Products
CDs & DVDs that have been opened.

To initiate your return, please reference your order number when contacting us.

Refunds (if applicable):

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment usually within 3 days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@irishflutestore.com.

Exchanges (if applicable):

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@irishflutestore.com

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

International Customers

Many if not most countries will charge import duty on shipments.  To get a general estimate, please see Simply Duty's Import Calculator.

We mark all packages properly as merchandise.  Please do not ask us to mark as a gift or return from repair as this would be asking us to take part in customs fraud.

Shipping is via DHL.  For orders over $2500, our website does not calculate shipping properly. We will contact you post sale to let you know of any shipping balance due. (typical scenario is that the website estimates $65+/- when the actual shipping cost is closer to $125+/-).  This is due to the additional insurance and customs forms processing for shipments valued at above $2500.
