A rare flute from Glenn Schultz's own unsold stock. This instrument plays with good strong resonance across the registers, with a particularly solid and full bottom D. The tone is warm and woody throughout, comfortable to play, and consistent from low to high.
The body is turned from what appears to be rosewood, with stainless steel rings and a brass tuning slide. Condition is as new, having come directly from the maker's shop without ever passing through another player's hands. The original case is included.
About the Maker
Glenn Schultz built his reputation crafting Water Weasel whistles from PVC, earning a loyal following among traditional players who value their reliable tuning, clear tone, and no-fuss playability. He also produced the Thin Weasel, a wooden version of the design, and extended his work to Irish flutes as well. Thin Weasel Woodwinds instruments were handcrafted from exotic woods or man-made materials. Schultz mentored Paul Busman, and his instruments remain genuinely difficult to come by.
