Comments:
This is an early McIlroy (#163) in excellent condition. McIlroy used to work at Lowden before heading out on his own and helped to develop Lowden's distinct open-pore finish which this guitar also features. The figured walnut on this guitar displays striking color and pattern. It has opened up well, especially in the low end, creating a beautifully balanced tone. Previous owner spared no expense getting the setup dialed in and has had a recent full fret replacement. Plays incredible with nice easy/low action that performs well in both DADGAD and standard tuning.
