Unmarked English 6-Key

$1,29999
Condition: Used - Excellent

Note from luthier Jonathan Walpole who performed the restoration:

"This flute does not have any marker's marks visible, but has all the characteristics of a medium bore, medium tone hole, English flute from the mid 1800s. It is made from cocuswood with rings, tuning slide, and 6 keys made from German Silver. It has been meticulously restored to full playing condition.

I got this flute from Irish flute player, Paul McGlinchey. It has the dubious distinction of being the flute that appears in the cover image of his "Unearthed" CD.

The flute, in its original state, had some problems (flat foot, cracked head, etc), but has been fully restored. It has been modified to fix the tuning to get it playing well at modern pitch (A=440 hz). The head crack has been professionally repaired (pulled the head liner, rebored the head to relieve stress, and repaired the crack)."
