The bottom D is the story here: strong, punchy and super powerful, and you can really lean on it. That counts for a lot in a session, where low Ds so often get drowned out; this one has a real chance of holding its own. The rest of the instrument keeps up, and it is a really well balanced whistle from the bottom note to the top.
Aluminum, light in the hands. The bottom section rotates independently, so hole 6 can be positioned to suit your own grip. The tuning slide moves on O-rings, and the Delrin-tipped mouthpiece helps keep condensation from building up in the windway. Dated 12/2014 on the head.
It has been well cared for. There are a few light surface scratches, the sort aluminum picks up over years of going in and out of a bag, and nothing out of the ordinary.
