A small-holed eight-key flute stamped EVANS on the barrel, reportedly dating from around 1830. The number four hole measures 7.6mm and the sounding length is 592mm.

Ebony body with metal rings, block mounted keys and pewter plug foot keys. The foot section is the best preserved part of the instrument: no cracks anywhere, and the action on the foot keys and the fit of the pewter plugs are nicely done.

Offered as a restoration project. This flute has been repaired before, with metal pinning through the head, left hand and right hand sections. Those repairs are holding, but they are rough and several hairlines have opened up since they were made. It needs a full overhaul along with cosmetic attention, and it is priced as is to allow for both.
