The O is George Lowden's original body shape and the largest of these three, known for a complex, dynamic voice and a generous low end. This O25c, serial 29153, is new for 2026 and pairs that body with a Venetian cutaway and the 25 series' classic tonewood combination: East Indian rosewood back and sides with a Red Cedar soundboard.
Where the F body is focused and articulate, the O is the more open and three-dimensional of the two, with greater air and bloom around each note and a deep, powerful bass response.
Red Cedar brings warmth and a fast, sensitive response, opening up readily under a light touch. The larger O body amplifies the effect of the East Indian rosewood back and sides, whose deep, resonant lows and sparkling, articulate highs fill out the guitar's voice with sustain and harmonic complexity. The combination is warm and cavernous underneath while staying clear and defined on top.
Ideal for
Fingerstyle, percussive strumming, and all-around playing.
Tone profile
Warm, deep, and complex, with a powerful low end, sparkling highs, wide dynamic range, and a roomy, three-dimensional voice.
