An anonymous English fife in Bb, reportedly dating from around 1870, in rosewood with metal mounts. Sounding length is 327mm.
A nice player and an easy one. With the head pushed all the way in it comes up to A=440 once warmed through, with good intonation across the range.
It is incomplete. The Eb key is missing and so is the crown, and the ring beside the crown has split. The finish is rough throughout and the tenon wants fresh thread. Offered as is rather than restored.
