Antique German 8-Key, D

An eight-key flute with block mounted keys and a head joint sleeved in metal. Sounding length is 586mm.

This one is offered as a parts flute, or as a project for someone who enjoys that side of the work. The crown is missing, the wood inside the metal head sleeve is cracked, the barrel carries two cracks, and the left hand section has an older sealed hairline. It would need full repairs and restoration throughout before it played again, and it is priced at a level that also makes it worth taking apart for the keywork and mounts if that is what is wanted.
