A tunable low E whistle with an aluminum body and a black plastic mouthpiece. The tone is open and fluty, more airy than a Chieftain or an Overton, though the mouthpiece design will feel familiar to anyone who has played an Overton or a Goldie.
It blows freely with less back pressure, so the low notes ask for a light, steady breath. The voice is very mellow with moderate volume, a good match for a small room, solo playing and slow airs. It is in excellent shape.
About the Maker
Alexander Karavaev makes his Nightingale whistles in Russia, and describes them as the result of many years of work as a craftsman and musician. The series is built around an aluminum body with a black plastic head and a tuning slide.
