A good bottom D and enough voice to hold its own in a session. The oval embouchure gives clean articulation, and this example has inline finger holes.
The Rudall model sits between Galeón's Pratten, which has the largest holes and the most power, and the Firth Pond, which is smaller-holed and crisper. Four-piece Delrin with a brass-lined head, which means it asks essentially nothing in the way of maintenance and travels without concern for heat or humidity.
