Zimmerman 8-key, D

Zimmerman 8-key wooden flute with post mounts, marked "LP" (Low Pitch). Recently serviced by Ryne Van Horn with pad work and key adjustment. Plays just slightly flat of A=440 when cold with head joint pushed all the way in; plays at A=440 when fully warmed up.

Features a really sweet and resonant tone in the middle and upper registers. Not a high-volume "session cannon," but offers beautiful tonal quality. A nice player for someone getting into keyed flutes who would like a mellow instrument for playing around the house. Does not include a case.
