This is the late Michael Grinter's large-hole Rudall, an excellent player with good strong volume and excellent intonation.
The six keys are Eb, short F, long F, G#, Bb and C. The flute is in excellent condition. A hairline crack at one socket has been repaired and is secured with two bands of carbon fiber, visible in the photographs. The flute was fully refurbished and repadded by Jon Cornia in 2023. A hard case is included.

About the Maker
Michael Grinter was born in 1953 and lived for most of his life near Ravenswood, outside Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. He made recorders as well as the flutes that earned him particular recognition in Ireland for his contribution to Irish music. He passed away in 2018. His son Pip Grinter, who grew up in the family workshop, continues to make Grinter flutes.
