A nice strong player with a really snappy response. The volume is good and strong, suited to larger, louder sessions and to performance, where an immediate response and a strong voice matter. The scalloped finger holes make it very comfortable in the hands.
The body is blackwood, with a brass head and a Delrin block and mouthpiece.
Thornton whistles are made in Ireland by Tommy Martin, who has been making them since 2005.
