A surprisingly good playing flute that plays excellent at A440. Nice rich tone and capable of a good amount of power for a smaller holed flute. The F# is intonated so that it plays best in tune with the F key vented. Would be a good candidate for the F# to be brought up a bit (by a local woodwind repair tech) if one was planning on playing Irish trad exclusively on it. You can still lip the F# up without venting but it would just make it more "hands off" in terms of intonation. Really nice flute - especially for the price - for the player with smaller hands who wants a fully keyed flute at an entry level price. Pads are in great shape.
