Bonneville # 3431 Boehm Flute

$3,79999
Condition: Used - Excellent

Auguste Bonneville began his career working for the prestigious house of Claire Godfroy in Paris, alongside Louis Lot. In 1876 he established his own workshop, producing professional-grade flutes renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and distinctive tonal character. Bonneville flutes are often described as having a richer, more textured sound than the cleaner Lot instruments - somewhere between the warmth of English wooden flutes and the brightness of French silver. Based on the serial number, this flute was made circa 1910.

This instrument features a C foot, open hole keys, inline G, and French pointed cups. The body and mechanism are silver plated.

The flute was retuned to A440 and the lip plate reworked by Emanuel Arista. Arista, a Boston-based master flutemaker since 1991, is internationally recognized for his precision craftsmanship and was awarded Flute Maker of the Year in 2024.
