A clear tone and a nice volume, which is really the point of this one. It sits in a session and stays audible without dominating, and it works equally well on its own at home. In the very largest and rowdiest sessions you might want a wider bore, but for most playing this is close to ideal.
That comes down to the narrow bore, which is a little more subdued and a little quieter than Burke's session bore. Plenty of players will find that the more useful of the two, since the other musicians in the room tend to appreciate a whistle that blends. Made in 2004.
