One head joint with two bodies. The head joint and the original body are boxwood with brass fittings, a standard D. The second body, in bird's eye maple, adds a pinky hole below the bottom D, so you can play a C natural at the bottom of the range.
The head joint has hairline cracks running down from the mouthpiece on both sides. Both have been sealed with a very thin cyanoacrylate glue, and the whistle plays fine, with the tone largely unaffected. The cracks are visible, and a sealed crack can open up again, so the head needs a little extra care: keep it in a humidified environment, ideally between 45% and 60% humidity. It is sold as is, for a player happy to take that on.
Comes with a plaid cloth wrap.
