As consistently solid a player as every Busman that has come through here. The tone is warm and the volume sits in a useful middle: not too loud, not too quiet, which makes it a good session whistle rather than one that only works at home.
The head joint is green DymondWood, with a black Delrin body, stainless steel fittings and a stainless tuning slide. A soft pouch is included.
DymondWood was a dyed birch veneer laminate impregnated with resin, made by Rutland Plywood in Vermont. The factory burned down in 2014 and the material has not been produced since, so the supply that reached instrument makers was finite and has long been used up. Busman offered heads in it while the stock lasted.
