Thanks to their innovative tapered-bore design & precisely formulated carbon fiber material, Carbony™ carbon fiber whistles are rich, balanced, and precise instruments.
Available in a range of keys from low-A to high-G, these whistles come with lots of options including various bore sizes, back-side thumbholes, and innovative ergonomic finger-spacing.
Derived from the esteemed Copeland tradition and endorsed by Michael himself, these whistles sound great and are remarkably durable.
Regarding Features & Options:
Whistles of different pitches have some or all of the following options available. If you have any questions about these options, please feel free to contact us, we'll be happy to help however we can.
- Bore Sizes: Opting for a wider bore typically results in a more robust and slightly louder tone, whereas a narrower bore tends to produce a sweeter response and tone. If you seek an instrument that will stand out in a large session, choose a wider bore. Conversely, if you aim to blend in with medium to smaller sessions or for at-home play, opt for the narrower option.
- Thumbholes: The top thumbhole can be used to play a flattened seventh, (for example, on a D whistle it would play C-natural,) and the bottom thumbhole can be used to play a flattened third, (for example, on a D whistle it would play F-natural).
- Close Finger Spacing: Using internal, "chimneys," whistles with this feature have holes that are positioned closer-together, making the distance from one hole to the next smaller. This feature can be especially helpful with lower-pitched whistles.
