Chris Wilkes Blackwood & Silver 5-Key Bb

What an impressive Bb! Chris is renowned for infusing his flutes with a tremendous amount of passion and dedication, which likely contributed to his waitlist extending well beyond 10 years before his retirement from flute making last year. This particular Bb is no exception! Personally owning an 8-key version of this flute, I've found that this one responds even more dynamically, possibly due to the absence of foot keys affecting its tone. Every Bb Wilkes flute I've had the pleasure of playing has been exceptional, striking a perfect balance between playability, tone quality, and energy. The tuning and response of this incredibly rare instrument are both flawless.
