Blackwood and what looks to be German type silver (due to type of patina) keys and fittings.
This is the first Craig Fischer flute that we've seen come through the shop - or ever really. Craig is a pipe maker - not sure if he is still making pipes and he used to make flutes as well that from what I've read are well regarded.
This one has a headjoint by Jon Cornia, probably due to a crack in the original head. Jon used the original fittings so you wouldn't know otherwise.
Intonation is very good and she's got a nice punch to how she plays. Plays to me like a large holed Rudall type flute.
Very interesting and rare flute for certain! Our guess is that it was made in the 1990s.
Keys and fittings could be polished up if the new owner so desires. Otherwise, the aged patina look is nice and handsome as is.
