Note: Due to the original ivory rings this flute is available to US customers only.
Beautiful one-key folk flute from the mid-19th Century by one of the pre-eminent US flute makers. Boxwood and Ivory, with brass D# key. This is a folk flute (not a baroque traverso), that plays easily in the common "tune keys" of G & D. Tuning sweet spot on this flute is A=448hz though you can back the headjoint off 8mm or so (careful with the tenon when doing so) to play at A440.
The flute was carefully renovated by Jay Ham, who fixed some cracks, replaced the D# key and replicated a new head cap from artificial ivory.
