A woodsy, smokey sort of tone with moderate air requirements. One thing to know before you buy: it does not take the standard 0xx 000 fingering for the Ab, so that note wants either a half-hole or the OxO xxx fingering instead.
Hardwood body with brass ferrules and a brass tuning slide, and a black head section marked with the maker's name, Denver, the serial number and the pitch. The brass carries a natural patina, which polishes back easily if you would rather have it bright.
Gene Milligan works in Denver, Colorado, and has been building whistles since 2006 after a career as a mechanical engineer specializing in acoustics and vibration. He has since stepped back from whistle making, which makes his instruments increasingly hard to come by.
