Note: Due to the ivory head joint, this flute is only available for sale in the US.

Plays at A=440 even cold with the tuning slide pushed all the way in, which is what was once called a low pitch standard flute and makes it a practical proposition at modern pitch. Sounding length is 628mm.

Ten keys, including a double touch for the Bb and a low B key on the extended foot, with nickel silver keywork on saddle and post mounts. The head joint is ivory with a nickel cap and ferrule, set against a rosewood body. It is beautifully made, and the keywork is a cut above the ordinary for a flute of this kind.

The instrument is complete and wants an overhaul rather than a rescue. The head joint needs its liner pulled and reseated and its crack sealed, the barrel needs a crack seal, and the pads are due for full replacement. The crack in the ivory head runs lengthwise and does not pass through the embouchure. Offered as is, priced to leave plenty of room for the work.
