A nice, sweet player with a really lovely compressed tone, and very easy to blow: it takes very little air to fill. Pitched at A=452, and a really nice one for playing at home or in smaller settings.

It rewards a player who vents the Eb key while climbing the scale, the way most silver flute players do as a natural part of their technique, and that is how it was intended to be played. With the key vented, the low E and the F# speak beautifully.

Boxwood, nice and light in the hands, with a single Eb key. The key seals and works well; it has a little side-to-side play in its block, and since it functions, the block has been left original. The rings are not certainly identified but look to be horn, and they give the flute a really handsome look. The foot end ring is chipped. Sounding length is 504mm. Stamped HOF RICHTER, with a crest above and a star below.
