Essentially as new. Made in 2025 and unplayed since.

Fitted with the Classic M3 Balanced head, its tuning slide graduated so that a single division shifts the pitch five cents. The body is Howard's thin-walled brass, and the Black Silk finish is a hard-wearing powder coat, taken back by hand around the finger holes to let the brass beneath show through.

Comes with its protective sheath.

Brian Howard has built low whistles in Sheffield, England, in continuous production since 1974. The Howard voice is rich, resonant, and silky, with volume that stays balanced between the registers and a modest breath requirement that keeps the octave change easy.
