A sweetly voiced whistle with moderate volume and a nice even balance between the registers. Tunable, with a slide at the head. A soft case is included.
About the Maker
Impempe whistles are made by Ian Turnbull in South Africa, turned from aluminum tubing in high and low pitches. The name is the Zulu and Xhosa word for a whistle. Early examples were not tunable; tunable versions followed later.
