A really nice player, with great response and a strong bell note. The second octave A and B are easy to play, and the upper register stays sweet. Like the other non-tunable Chieftains, it is set to sit a little flat when cold and warms up to A=440.
The body is thick-walled brass, which gives these their solid, clear tone; they are not light instruments. These brass Chieftains were known as the Gold whistles, and they are no longer made and rarely come up. Comes with a soft red sleeve.
