Kerry Whistles Optima Cobre

The Kerry Whistles Cobre is a tunable tin whistle designed by Phil Hardy, available in C, D, and Eb. Combining the best elements of various whistle designs, the Cobre features a hybrid composite construction with a copper body, an ABS plastic mouthpiece, and a 6082 aluminum alloy tuning slide. This design balances sweetness, compression, and volume, offering warmth and richness with excellent control and projection.

The plastic mouthpiece provides a familiar and comfortable playing experience, while the copper body not only enhances the tonal quality but also develops a natural patina over time, giving it a unique character both visually and acoustically. The carefully designed bore and voicing allow for effortless control, making it responsive across both octaves without requiring excessive breath pressure.
