This Martin Wenner baroque flute is modeled after an original by Carlo Palanca, a Turin-based maker active in the 18th century. Known for its oval embouchure and original construction in ebony, the design offers a focused, robust tone with rich color across the range—including especially strong cross-fingered notes like F, G♯, and B♭.
Wenner’s faithful reproduction at A=415 is crafted in blackwood (grenadilla) and is ideal for a wide swath of baroque repertoire, from Handel and Locatelli to J.S. Bach.
