A fantastic player, with a robust bottom F you can really lean into and a second register that is easy to reach. Intonation is excellent throughout. The low F sits in a sweet spot between a high D and a low D, giving much of the resonance of a low whistle with some of the easy response of a higher one, and without the reach of a low D.
Aluminum, light in the hands, with a tuning slide and a Delrin-tipped mouthpiece that helps keep condensation out of the windway. In excellent condition. Michael Burke makes his whistles in Murphysboro, Illinois.
