Michael Grinter Blackwood & Silver 6-Key Pratten

$8,99999
Condition: Used - Excellent

With over twenty years in the flute trade, I've never seen a Pratten flute made by Michael Grinter – until now. Crafted in 2001, this flute represents Michael's first attempt at the Pratten style, and it might be his only one. It's been owned by the same person since it was made, and they've taken excellent care of it.

The current owner remembers waiting eagerly to finally get their hands on it, as Michael showed it off in Ennis and let some top players like Kevin Crawford try it out. Someone at Custy's (local music shop) joked that its strong volume might have made it a bit unpopular at sessions (most likely an exaggeration ;). Regardless, this flute has a wonderfully wide dynamic range. It's clear Michael put a lot of work into fine-tuning it – the tuning is spot on.

This listing is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a fantastic slice of flute history!
