A low-pitch flute with 11 keys, including a right-hand B-flat touch. When it is cold and the head joint is pushed all the way in, it plays just under A=432, so it suits players working at a lower pitch.
The tone is clear and bright with a nice resonance, the intonation is very good, and the bottom D is relatively strong. It is not the flute for the loudest sessions. The low C-sharp and C keys work well and carry rollers that make gliding between them easy. The low B is there; it asks you to learn how the little finger seals the low C and C-sharp keys above it.
The head joint and barrel have the usual sealed hairline cracks that you usually expect of flutes of this vintage.
"Nach Meyer" is not a maker's name but a model designation, German for "after Meyer."
