That classic O'Riordan glassy tone, clear and bell-like, with excellent intonation. In as-new condition and a really nice find.

Rosewood body with brass fittings. The head joint and barrel are believed to be ebonite. Made in 2001.

Patrick O'Riordan worked from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and became one of the most respected whistle makers in the world. Born in Warwickshire to Irish parents, he took up making after retiring from a career in manufacturing, and his instruments went on to appear on Grammy-winning recordings and to be played in symphony orchestras. Demand rose sharply after Joanie Madden credited his whistles in her album notes, and the waiting list ran past a year. He passed away in 2019, so his instruments now come up only on the secondhand market, and wooden examples are scarcer than the metal ones.
