A well-playing and responsive small-holed Frères flute, stamped "Olwell" on the back of the headjoint. Pat Olwell marks flutes this way when he has significantly contributed to their playing characteristics, which may include refining the bore with a reamer, fine-tuning the tone holes and embouchure, and applying other specialized techniques to optimize the instrument. This flute is well-suited for players with smaller hands who still want a lively response across the range. While not ideal for sessions, it shines in small ensemble or solo settings. An excellent player at modern pitch / A=440hz.
