Rudall Carte & Co. No. 6684

$2,79999
Condition: Used - Good

This flute, stamped AL (Alexander Liddle), originates from the late/great Peter Noy collection. It has undergone restoration with new pads and corks, resealed headjoint lining, and sealed cracks in the headjoint. Repairs to the body and blocks were also completed. Intonation is excellent when tuned to A440hz, with the tuning slide extended about 11mm, and it features medium to medium-small tone holes. The main body 6-keys work flawlessly, while the bottom C and C# keys will need additional work to function properly. The headjoint is missing a ring, and we can recommend a repair shop post-sale for crafting a replacement (as well as addressing the foot keys).

This flute is a great candidate for playing Irish Traditional Music and becomes even more dynamic when paired with a modern headjoint. Testing with an Olwell headjoint made it feel as if we had added a supercharger! Priced to sell, it plays great as-is and, with a little extra effort, will become an enviable ITM player. It boasts the great, complex tone that Rudalls are so widely acclaimed for!
