Technochanter Electronic Practice Chanter

First generation of the Technochanter, the original electronic Highland practice chanter produced by Fagerstrom. It is a lightweight, compact, full-size electronic practice chanter designed as a complement to a regular acoustic practice chanter.

The finger contacts are electrical rather than mechanical, meaning they do not need to be pressed down to activate. The electronics are unforgiving at detecting crossing noise, which keeps technique honest and helps players avoid developing bad habits before returning to an acoustic chanter. The unit is compact enough to fit in a pocket, measuring approximately 16mm x 225mm, and uses earphones with a standard 3.5mm audio jack so that only the player hears the sound.
